2026 Annual Appeal - Donate today!

SafeArt is a community-based organization that engages creativity and the expressive arts as tools to support mental health and overall wellbeing. For 26 years, SafeArt staff have dedicated their time to helping youth, adults, seniors, and families as they navigate trauma, abuse, hate, poverty, and the challenges of daily life in rural VT. With your help, we continue to work towards a future where the cycle of trauma has been broken and all Vermonters are free to dream, create, and fully express themselves.

Though we’ve had many successes this year, it has not been without challenges. Pivotal federal funding cuts have continued & impacted organizations across the state, with many nonprofits closing. Limited funds and access to grants is creating a higher demand and less opportunities for funding of programs like SafeArt’s.

We’ve revitalized our programming to continue to meet our rural communities needs. We’ve added more community events, monthly art workshops, intergenerational open art spaces, and have expanded our partnerships with local organizations and businesses.

To continue this vital, healing work supporting rural communities, we must raise $160,000 by the end of the year. While we’re fortunate to receive funding from VT Arts Council, VT Community Foundation, & Couch Family Foundation, we wouldn’t be asking if your support weren’t essential for keeping these programs running.

Your donation to SafeArt helps provide equitable access to trauma-informed programs for struggling Vermonters and increases community wellness across our state. Please give today, as generously as you are able, to SafeArt’s healing programs for youth, adults, and seniors as we continue to advocate for a thriving future for all.

$160,000 is a lot of money to raise in a short period of time, but we have a sustaining donor willing to match up to $30,000, which already gives us a huge boost.

Please give today, as generously as you are able, to SafeArt’s healing programs for youth, adults, and seniors as we continue to advocate for a thriving future for all.
