What We Do

Our Focus

We help youth, adults, and communities to break the cycle of trauma by empowering people of all ages to dream, aspire and achieve through creative expression, movement, music, and trauma-informed training.

Through SafeArt’s Youth Wellbeing Programs, we partner with K-12 teachers, counselors and youth-serving organizations to integrate expressive arts, mindfulness and empowerment activities into their curriculum and programming.  All of our programming utilizes the expressive arts as the primary vehicle of exploration, including visual art, movement, creative writing and poetry, music, and theater games. We aim to create a non-judgmental, all-inclusive space where young people feel free to express themselves and take healthy risks.

SafeArt's Healing Arts for Adults programming, uses a caring team approach to support femme-identified folks who are affected by trauma. A team of dedicated practitioners collaborates to offer one day workshops, ongoing weekly sessions, and bimonthly groups.  Each practitioner brings to the team their own modality of healing art, which they use to guide the participants through a session.
