Body Work Instructor Bios
Susan Kapp Monaghan began studying Hatha Yoga in 1997, before her daughter Eve was born. Her Ashtanga practice started in 1998. She has studied Astanga with Stephen Leslie, Beryl Bender, Kathy McNames, David and Doug Swenson. She has also completed her Ashtanga Primary Series teachers training with David Swenson in 2000. In May 2008 Susan earned her Masters in Education through Plymouth State University.
Susan brings to her daily practice over 25 years of dance training, specifically modern and contact improvisation. She has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga classes in the Upper Valley since 2000.

Tracy Penfield is the Director of SafeArt and Altus healing arts. She has been teaching movement since 1980 to people of all ages and abilities, blending her experiences in Dance, Yoga, Voice-Movement Therapy and more. Her classes emphasize breath awareness, releasing and flow.
Géraldine B. Vatan is a certified teacher and Phoenix Rising yoga therapist. She also trained in NY with the Lineage Project to offer awareness based practices to incarcerated and at-risk youth. She is a mentor to yoga therapists in training and practices Seva (compassion in action) as a restorative justice board member in Montpelier. She teaches workshops regionally and also offers yoga therapy, mentoring sessions, yoga privates and a meditation lounge in her new space, the Inward Bound Yoga Studio above Miller Sports at 104, Main st. in Montpelier.
